Those Who Wander is a series of paintings about the human journey through different stages of life,
relationships, and inner states. The journey refers less to physical movement than to an ongoing
process of change, searching, and transition from one state to another.
The series draws on personal experiences and the inner states connected to them, which are expressed
in the paintings through the figures’ postures, movements, and relationships to one another. The
figures often inhabit undefined spaces, as if suspended somewhere between the end of something and
a new beginning.
At the heart of the series are closeness and distance, loss and change, uncertainty, and the attempt to
keep moving forward even when the destination is not yet clear.
